First French Meal
My friend, Jane, who owns the B & B, took me to a wonderful tiny French restaurant, Chez Mon Jules, in a town in the mountains called Vesc. She said that all her friends were raving about the food and she wanted to try it.
The drive through the mountains at twilight was beautiful.
On the way to the town of Vesc through the mountains at dusk.
Entering Vesc.
My appetizer was a caillette (a french meatball) filled with foie gras in a pesto sauce. It was beyond delicious.
The restaurant had only a few tables and was very casual. They played record albums of American music from the 70s on an old turntable next to the kitchen. We enjoyed our meal listening to “Hotel California” by the Eagles.
It was perfect!
